"One and Done" in College Basketball .... What A Shame for the Athletes Who Don't Make it to the League

Now that March Madness is upon us yet again... the talk heats up in regards to undergraduates possibly heading to the Pros (The League).  We all marvel at the ones who do make it to the League.. i.e. Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kevin Durrant, Kevin Garnett and more..., but what becomes of the ones who don't make it.

I've written an article recently in regards to whether college athletes should be paid or not.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

What would you do if you had a child who was potentially good enough to go to the pros as an undergrad?  Would you encourage him/her to complete their schooling and get their degree, or would you encourage them to head to the pros?  Hmmmm……

James Donaldson as A Harlem Globetrotter (back in the day!)

I had a good chuckle this morning in watching some old Harlem Globetrotter film-clips shown recently on ESPN's Outside The Lines show.

It brought back memories of when I toured around with the Trotters a few years ago.  It was a hoot and a lot of fun!!!

I never did catch on how they would do the "bucket of water turned to paper confetti trick", but I did learn how to handle the ball a little better than I did in the NBA. (smile!)

Great basketball and good family fun at the same time!
