Whew!... Chinese Dishes That I Avoided in China... So Glad that I'm A Vegetarian! (pt. 3)

I just returned from another fantastic trip to China and thought that I’d share a few photos of typical Chinese dishes with you all.

 

Here’s a humorous photo of a stack of cigarettes being passed around at a typical Chinese meal that I attended, and also a photo of what becomes of snakes and eels if they come too close to the butcher’s knife.  If you look closely, you can see a snake blended into the meal on the menu.  Glad I’m a vegetarian and also a non-smoker! (Smile!)

I keep having to remind everyone that I’m a vegetarian (for 25 years!), so they make sure that I have a side dish of veggies and tofu. (smile!)  Of course, I’m always the topic of conversation in regards to “how I can be so big and not eat meat?”
