I ran into my good buddy, former Seattle SuperSonic 1979 NBA World Champion John "JJ" Johnson the other day and we both wanted to wish all of the Sonic fans all the best in getting the NBA back to Seattle!
Go Sonics!!!
This is a great example of what we can do as a community when we work together to find the best "win-win" possible.
Give a thumbs up to Nathaniel everyone!

Stay strong my friend!
It’s great to see former athletes doing great things “After the Game”.
Here’s a very positive article featuring former NBA great, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as he speaks on being an advocate for STEM education and encouraging our youth to look at developing a variety of skills as they work towards their goals.
You go Kareem!
Every once in a while, great memories are shared with me from friends and fans alike from around the world. Recently, Gary Miller, WSU Class ’78, sent this great photo to me from 1977.
It is a game of WSU vs. the USSR in Pullman. I remember this game as if it was yesterday. I specifically remember not being the biggest guy on the floor as the Russians had a guy who was 7’4”!!!, J and another couple guys on the bench who were 7 footers!
The USSR Women’s volleyball team was on the same tour, and I met one of the volleyball players in the weight room… she was able to look me straight in the eye because… she was 7’2” just like me! Wow!!!
The game??? Who knows? ... Who cares? ... I’ll go with the WSU Cougs on this one! (smile!)
I had the most wonderful day today at the Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce http://www.seattlechinesechamber.org in which I was the keynote luncheon speaker!
Thanks everyone for a great lunch and all of the business/personal questions! J
